Ultra torque lube...

Who has used ARP's ultra torque lube and did it work as advertised?

Re: Ultra torque lube...

I've used a lot of it. It doesn't tend to overstretch bolts after multiple torque cycles like their original formula did.

Re: Ultra torque lube...

You need to measure stretch with rod bolts when using the new ultra torque lube, the specs supplied so far are generally about 10-15 lbs too low in order to reach the proper stretch.

Consistency with the new lube is great, but ARP and the rod manufacturers torque data is severely lacking.
