Uh oh.. one more time

Well hate to say it but my poor car has to go under the knife. 94 corvette with 166k miles on it.. and today it just developed a knock.. sounds pretty deep and steady i figure main bearings..

This is a good thing in a way but just the wrong time as work has been real slow. My corvette is going to have to sit for along time which is sad but when i get it back it should be a much nicer piece. Think i am going to go with a 383 rebuild.. and looking for 390-400 to the wheels.

I asked on here before for like 450rwhp.. and i just dont need that.. i figured 390-400 is much more achievable.. little cheaper and i can always go nos.. dont want to though.

Does an LE2 setup get the job done? I should have searched before posting but im doing it backwards ha. anyways thanks.. asking on here instead of the vette forum cause you guys always seem to be more help.. a lt1 is a lt1.. besides i still got my camaro ha

Anyone point me in the right direction and a rough estimate? so i know how much to start saving.

Sorry to hear about your car, that sucks- unless your building a 383 w/le heads!

A LE2 package will definitely get you to your goal. Not sure what your budget looks like, but the LE2 setup along with all of the supporting mods will easily tally a few thousand and beyond. Also, you still have to factor in the cost of the bottom end rebuild.
