uh oh, another pacesetter lt question
uh oh, another pacesetter lt question
I know, another damn pacesetter lt question. Sorry, but did the search and could not find the answer that I need and was hoping that someone with a lowered car running the pacesetter lt's could help me out. I would like to ask if any of you lowered guys out there could do me a favor and measure the amount of clearance from ground to lowest point of the collector or y-pipe. There is some speed bumps at work that I just cannot avoid and I'm trying to decide if its going to be worth the amount of trouble/scraping that I'm sure I'll be getting if I go LT's.
Thanks
Thanks
Re: uh oh, another pacesetter lt question
Well without going outside in the rain to measure my clearance I can tell you off hand that they do hang pretty low cause I have scraped some high speed bumps and some steep driveways. I try to be as careful as possible but there are just some speed bumps I have'nt been able to cross without some scraping. I'd have to guess between 3 and 4 inches.
Re: uh oh, another pacesetter lt question
Thanks for the info, this really helps me out alot. I think I can live with having around 3 1/2" of clearance, just gotta be real careful right? Z-rated and DarkKnight, you guys have any regrets with your lt's and ground clearance issues? Getting really close to convincing myself that its ok to get the lt's instead of mid lengths.
Re: uh oh, another pacesetter lt question
No regrets here, had the shortys and figured the heads and cam deserved the LT's. I will sooner or later raise the front half an inch or so with some QA1's. I need some better weight transfer anyways.
Re: uh oh, another pacesetter lt question
No regrets here either, the car sounds great and pulls harder and the clearance is not that bad as long as your careful and do the lowrider thing over the big bumps (drive over them at an angle). But yeah go for it man!
Re: uh oh, another pacesetter lt question
Aalll riiiight, thats what I wanted to here! Guess I'll be ordering mine soon. Just looking around for the right place to order from. Thanks guys, really appreciate it.
