GM does that all of the time to get more money out of the Vette Guys.

They are both the same, in fact ALL MAP sensors are the same, just buy the cheaper one.

Totally, totally, untrue. I can tell you now that the above statement is flat-out full of human fecal matter. Buy the right one, chances are one is for the other engine (3.8) and it was just mis-listed in your source. It would cost more for GM to do this with every part on a corvette that was common with something else than it would be worth. There is a difference and you may or may not have a problem but if you get the wrong one don't be shocked if the car runs like crap.

The ACDelco Part # for the MAP sensor is 213-1545. There is only one listed in the ACDelco catalog.

2.8 liter v6, Hmm, same map sensor. And look, TTS show it working fine on an LT1. Wait theres more, 3.4 liter v6, or maybe the 2.4 liter ecotec.
Your catalog is a piece of paper, i have seen, scanned and run cars on those MAPs and the computer and the car, and hell, no one else could tell the difference. But, you know what, I am not omnipotent, i dont know everything. Maybe your right. Maybe GM cars so much about every car that they are going to take the time to engineer a new way of measuring Intake Manifold Pressure for each indiviual car, i mean what was Henry Fords problem with the crap of interchangable parts. (reads = there is only one way to meassure MAP, and if the MAP doesnt fit then its not the right one. But MAP measures the amoung of pressure, and that is it, its not rocket science, its a PRESSURE SENDER FOR THE ECM, THEY ARE ALL THE SAME, ONLY THE CASE IS DIFFERENT.)

in the end.

Believe who you want, its your money.
