Turned engine removing balancer bolts, will timing be off installing opti?
Hey all. I removed my crank pulley, and while i did this i turned the engine a little bit removing the bolts on the balancer. I approximatley know where the location the arrow was pointing to before taking it off. When i put back on my distributor will there be a problem with timing? I have a 97 stock trans am automatic.

Should be no issues with timing being off. The cam is driven off a chain from the crankshaft and they turn together. The only time turning the crank alone would be an issue is if you had that chain removed.
Make sure you get the arrow on the balancer at the same place when you reinstall the balancer though. It should be pointed at 12 o'clock with #1 piston at TDC. The balancer may have been trimmed a little from the factory.
