Turn signal lense...
Turn signal lense...
I'm trying to take them out to tint them. How do you remove them. It seems the side markers have screws but what about the turn signal lenses???
It's on a trans-am incase you didn't read the sig.

you have to actually take off the panels on the bottom of the car. There is 1 large panel on each side of the car, held on by about 9 bolts for each panel. Then you can squeeze under the car and the turn signals themselves are taken out from behind, 2 bolts on each turn signal I think. So yea, there's no "lens" to take off, the whole housing is one piece. I believe the sizes for the panels under the car are 10mm and 8mm, not quite sure. It's real easy, just takes a little extra time the first time you do it. If you're REALLY lazy you could get the blackout or smoked turn signal covers. They just snap right on.
LOL I know how to remove those panels. I'm not lazy though =) I use this stuff called VHT nightshades. It looks really clean and you can make it as light or dark as you like. I'll post pics when I'm done, I already did my taillights. I plan to do the signals, the markers, and the center panel between the taillights.
The black plastic panel bolts are 10mm, and there 3 7mm bolts holding in the lenses, and then turn counterclock wise to remove the turn signal and parking light sockets. Remember if you tint them, they'll have to be for off road use only, cus the lense or the turn signal bulb has to be amber colored, and if you tint them the visability will be reduced obviously.
