Tuning Questions

My Pacesetter long tubes are in the mail so now I am looking into a tune for my car. I have decided to use MadZ28 and I have some questions for you tuned guys.

1) Is it better to just buy the Hypertech programmer and do it myself?

2) Did you guys send in your original PCM or get a used one from Mad?

3) What rev limit is best for a bolt on LT1?

4) What RPM shift points did you set your PCM too?

5) Any tranny problems with a firmer shift?

Thanks for replies.

Re: Tuning Questions

all these questions depend on the mods you have. Everyones shift points are going to be different depending on all supporting mods, same with the rev limit.

Hypertech is garbage, unless all you need it to do is correct your speedometer HAHA!

Shift kit in my car for about 3 years, no problems (granted it is a very low mileage car).
