tuneup help . . .
tuneup help . . .
i have a 1996 z28 with an lt1 . i want to do a complete tuneup , including opti . are there any sites with diagrams on the easiest way to change plugs . what is the best opti for ther lowest price . thanks jay
Try one of these guys, then can get you a brand new GM opti at wholesale: http://shbox.com/1/4th_gen_tech2.html#Dal_and_Jason As for the actual plug change, there are varied methods in going about doing it and everyone has their own system. My best advice would be to get a decent hand tool assortment with varied extensions, swivels, and ratchets. Also, try a "search" and you'll pull up a ton of posts with helpful hints in changing the plugs.
While you are at it, check the opti harness. It might be fried like mine is on my 96 Formula. Summit and Casper's has them pretty cheap.

if you have stock exhaust manifolds, the easiest way to gety to the pass. side plugs and wires is to remove the alt., and pull the engine mount bolt and lift the engine up, you will then have lots of clearance
