Tunercat Questions

ALright so a friend of mine has Tunercat and he is going to help me with the tune on my car. But what we were both wondering was what all does tunercat have on it? I knwo the tuning stuff of course....but for instance I went to OBD1 on my car, A4 to a T56, A4 gear ratios instead of T56 ratios. Can all this be adjusted on tunercat?

Re: Tunercat Questions

This should probably be posted in the programming forum, but there is nothing to adjust, transmission-wise, for a 6 speed. You can change for rear end gears, though.

I am not sure Tunercat has released their OBD-II version, so you would have to be OBD-I to use it.

Re: Tunercat Questions

Yea sorry wrong forum...but i have 3:23 gears from the A4 of course....but I know having a T56 is messing with my speedo.....so it has something to do with the PCM....and I have an OBD1 computer getting a resistor put in it now to work with my OBD2 knock sensor.

Re: Tunercat Questions

You need a 6 speed flash or an adjustment to the speedometer scalar values. I thought you were saying something about adjustment due to the ratios in the transmission. Pretty sure the VSS on the 6 speeds uses a different rate of pulses for determining speed.

Re: Tunercat Questions

alright good it shouldnt be that bad then since i bought a 94 OBD1 from an M6, so i should have to change gear ratios since it has 3:23's instead of 3:42's. And then just all the other basic tuning. Also can you disable CAGS through tunercat?

Re: Tunercat Questions

You can do all that. There is a "speed calibration" screen under "tools" that will let you change all that stuff at once.
