Tune Up?

Sorry guys I'm kind of lazy and don't want to do much researching so I was wondering if I could get some of my questions answered here on this board instead of researching.

1) What should I replace when I do my tune up this week. My car's a 97 z28 and its got about 85k mi. on it. Here's what I got so far so tell me if I'm missing anything.

plugs, wires, waterpump.

Can anyone tell me what they think the best plugs/wire combo is w/ my mods.

Thanks in advance guys.

Re: Tune Up?

Waterpump?? Dont fix it if it aint broke! Maybe stat, coolant, and belt besides plugs and wires. If it has never been touched maybe think about the o2 sensors if money allows. And of course the basics of fuel and air filter.

Re: Tune Up?

Ya my o2 sensors are bad but I just threw in a set of o2 sims to get my engine light off. I've been wanting to get a performance waterpump. You guys think its worth it?

I personally would stick with the stock waterpump unless you are kicking mad horsepower. With a stock style at least a replacment is $50 and same day. With an electric it it screws up you are jacked like 17 switches.

Re: Tune Up?

Yes water pump..If it isnt broke why screw with it. 02's good Idea, air filter, fuel filter, Plugs..If you are gonna spray Autolite 103 if Not autolite 106. As far as wires, I went to autozone got the double silcone (lifetime warrenty) for like 35-40$ (When ever I am bored I take off my wires go to autozone and they exchange them free with NO questions ) dont forget oil, filter and not a bad idea to do your PCV valve. I dont remember if you had a M6 or A4 but either way it is a good idea to change those fluids also A4 filter and fluid, M6 just fluid. also you might want to look ahead and start saving for a opti..You NEVER know when there gonna take a crap on you. Other than that you have a BIG day ahead of you and good luck

I think <3 hours would be more like it.

If my memory serves me well, I think that GM shops allow just under 4 hours for the job. Someone might be able to confirm that.
