Tune?...or no?
Tune?...or no?
Hey, thanks for helping me out --
I am installing Lts and ORY soon, im keeping emissions hookups but not the cats. I understand I need O2 sims and extensions for no SES, but what if I get a tune instead? Is that more worth it? Do I still need O2 extensions with a tune? Thanks!

Re: Tune?...or no?
You'll need O2 extensions because the longtubes will move the O2 placement further back. They're pretty expensive for what they are, if you're confident in your wiring skills you could just solder or crimp your own stuff and save some money.
And tuning should get rid of your SES problems from removing the cats.(at least I think)

Re: Tune?...or no?
Tuning is a good mod for a stock car, once modified it is an even better idea, and you could have the rear O2s tuned out so aply the cost of those to the cost of the tuning. Make sure you tell the tuner you screwedup the MAF otherwise you will have issues. madz28.com is near Chicago so that should be an easy choice.
Re: Tune?...or no?
Besides SES light, will the car run fine without O2 sims or tune if I install everything first? Or should I go ahead and get the tune now? If I get the tune now and don't install for a while, will it be ok?
Finally, what all should be tuned besides O2s? Thanks!
