Tune a LT-1?

Anybody know a good LT-1 tuner program out there that I can use to make basic changes like injector size, gear ratio, etc... I am looking at the LT1edit from carputing but $200 seems steap! I have a data master cable and can connect to my PCM just fine, but was just wondering if there was other options out there. I am also looking to the future as well as the LT1 gets older it will be harder and harder to find programs to cover it. Let me know and thanks for your input.

Either LT1edit or Tunercat.

I have Tunercat and it seems pretty easy to use.

You can get tunercat as a trial version if you would like to evaluate it first. You just have to buy the definition file which is $20 to download.

Tunercat ftw!

Don't forget a datalogging program so you can actually see what's going on. Check out TTS Datamaster..

Can't you just use the PCMREAD program (Free) to read and save a .lt1 file of your PCM and then import or open this in tunercat to modify. Looks like tunercat supports .lt1 files as well. Would this not be better if your computer is already custom programmed and you want to just modify a few parameters instead of going with a new file? Let me know.

With TunerCat you can make a copy of your current tune and save. Make changes to this file, rename, and reflash.

AHHHHH I see said the blind man. I wasn't sure tunercat would let you make a current copy of your PCM flash. Oh well, I'll get the definition file as it looks like this is what the program uses to define your particular parameters on your PCM.

Doesn't look like it as their website only supports '98 and up Fbodys and '97 and up Corvette's and this is when the LS1 started production. The last year for the LT-1 was '97 in the Fbodys. Sorry.

Wish they would cause it's a pretty sweet looking program.

I thought I had read that Tunercat had been bought by some big tuning software company and their prices had went up and it only worked now on your specific VIN similar to LT1Edit, but continuing to support existing Customers for the def files was the same.... Has it changed or is it still basically the same product it was 3-5 years ago?

TunerCat still sells their OBDI software which isn't VIN specific, pretty sure they sold the OBDII stuff.

This page says $69.95 plus $20 for a LT1 def file. That seems to be cheaper than it was a few years ago.
