trying to track down coolant leak..

after i pulled the battery out, I can see coolant on the battery tray and I know that the coolant is leaking from somewhere on the passenger side area. There is also coolant inside the passenger wheel well, so i figured it was probably coming from the reservoir. I pulled it out and filled it up and it doesnt appear to be leaking from anywhere, but it was completely empty when I pulled it out. Where else could the coolant be leaking from??

After pulling my engine, I realized there's about a million and one places for Coolant to come out of on these engines!

I don't know how many times I ended up with a huge puddle on my floor after I *thought* I had it all out.

I suggest tracing all the hoses coming out of your water pump and checking the ends for leaks, and cracks along the hose.

Can someone answer if a freeze plug or something coming out would do that? I don't think it would get to the batty tray that way though.

Check the 20 million rubber hoses, including the ones going to the throttle body.

I had a similar problem a month ago, except my reservoir was full but I was leaking coolant and I constantly had to add coolant to the radiator. Turns out that battery acid had leaked onto the aluminum tube under tha battery that runs from the res. tank to the radiator was 'eaten' through.
I would check that tube, becuse if your leaking and not having any coolant in your tank, it may not be making it there.
