Trying to get everything in line for cam install

I am 80% sure I am going to do the Hotcam kit this summer. As of right now I am trying to get everything in line so that way I will have all the supporting mods when I get the cam in and it will run the best.

My mods so far:
Pacesetter LT's
ORY
GMMG Catback
CSR Electric water pump
3.90's (going in the car in a few weeks)
Underdrive Pulleys

Coming soon (next month or so)
Subframes
LCA's
Panhard rod
Strut Tower Brace
MT Drag Radial's

Now here's my question. Should I put on a new TB and some new injectors?? The injectors may be a necessity because I think one of them is leaking. Should I get some 30lb or just get some LS1 injectors? Also, would a 52 mm, 58 mm, or just the stock throttle body work?

I would say yes to the TB, if you can get a good price on a port job I'd suggest getting the 58 mm that way you can forget about induction for the longest time. My question is what kind of oil pressure does your car hold and how many miles does it have? If you need to replace the fuel injectors do it, but I would think stocks would be more than enough for a hot cam.

The car has 106,000 miles on it and has EXCELLENT oil pressure. I am going to do a compression test next week on it though to make sure everything checks out. I found some 28lb LS2 GTO injectors for 15.00 bucks on ebay. They have 5,000 miles on them and I figured I would get those. They still have 6 days left though and the reserve has not been met.

Also, should I get a LT4 knock module?

I would just stick with stock or stock replacement injectors. I'm not sure how the LSx injectors will work considering the differences in fuel pressure between the LT1 and LSx platforms. Your stock throttle body should be adequate, but if you do go larger, I would just stick with a 52mm opening and save some money by having your stocker ported.

I'm guessing that I will keep the stock TB since everyone says it will be adequate. If I had it tuned, could the newer injectors work??

I did the knock module at the same time but if i were you..... I would rethink the cam, and go custom if your gonna put one in. It is the same trouble as any other size cam, and you will most likley outgrow the hotcam.

Why not talk to Bret and see what he can come up with for a stock headed car?
I have heard nothing but good things about his cams.

I would recommend a good valvespring removal tool. I got one from crane a while back that uses 2 of your rocker bolts to compress 2 springs at once. Nice tool, but expensive.

LS1's have different fuel pressures than LT1's. So LS1 28lb injectors = LT1 24lb injectors.

I would love to do that, but as of right now I am just looking for something cheap that will make decent power. After I get out of Pharmacy school (which will be about 5 years from now) I am going to do a full rebuild with maybe a hair dryer. As far as the hotcam goes, I will not have to do that many upgrades to parts and it will work great with the mods I already have.

So the GTO injectors will work then right??

Do you have or plan to upgrade to 1.6 roller rockers as well? If so, then the LT4 knock module wouldn't be a bad idea. Considering the low cost, it won't hurt you either way.

Z95m6 - I just passed through Newton today on my way to KC. I usually make it to Wichita every month at least. Next time I have the bird we should meet up or something. I would love to see your car in person, I love LT1 Camaros!!

Yeah when I say I'm doing the Hotcam I mean the Hotcam 'KIT', which would include rockers and springs.

No problem, I'm sure we could work something out. Its my last semester of college here at WSU and I have a lot of free time on my hands.
