Stock pushrod length is 7.200". If there was no head milling or block decking, they should work. Otherwise measure. If you are only considering roller tipped rockers (I'd spend the extra for full rollers), then those will fit.

OEMs went roller fulcrum but not tip, that should suggest to you something about where there are gains to be had.

He's saying that the roller tips don't help nearly as much as the roller fulcrums, so it'd be wiser to spend your money on a full roller rocker.

Re: trying to figure out what rocker arms to get

ok so im running into pushrod problems i cant figure out what size i need and i dnt know how to figure out what size i need i want something like 3/8 stud
would the diameter , and length of the pushrod matter if it helps i dnt know the type of heads i think stock lt1 heads but i have resurfaced them but it does not look like i will be able to do it again so i dnt wan to get too long or short of push rods if the length matters if some one could tell me how to check that would be awesome
and tell me if the diameter of the rods match ?
i looked at some that was 5/8 but the stud was 3/8 i believe, are all push rods one length and the stud is another ?
srry and thanx for any help

Re: trying to figure out what rocker arms to get

The rocker stud and pushrod are two separate matters. Stock rocker studs are 3/8" on the top and 7/16" going into the head. Some people upgrade to 7/16" on both ends for strength. Your rocker arms would have to be for 7/16" studs if you were to use that size stud.

Stock pushrod diameter is 5/16", length 7.200". Some people use 3/8" diameter pushrods for strength. The length is critical for proper rocker arm geometry. Read this article to see how length is determined.
