Man this is kind of depressing to read. I just spent over $700 to go from mac mids/cat back, to lt's and true duals. Oh well, as long as it puts a smile on my face.

I'm sure you'll notice a pretty nice gain from the LT's alone. If you have the true duals dump before the axle, you will probably be seeing a gain from that as well.

I plan to throw an electronic cut-out on mine. I should see about the same kind of gains from that as I would from true duals.

Re: True duals Vs. Catback..

i'd just like to add my two cents and say that i wish i would have had true duals installed instead of wasting money on a y-pipe and etc.

even though i bought high quality band clamps and took my time, there are leaks around the "reducer" clamps (i use quotes since the pacesetters are slip fit), and the fact that i had a stock i-pipe with a different muffler welded on the back compounds the leaks and complication of install.

all in all i could have spent about 400 more and had a totally welded system with cool *** flowmaster header reducers, no leaks, and the mufflers of my choice.

Don't sweat it at all. True duals sound so nice. There is no way to
get that sweet sound with a single. It's like mono vs. stereo for listening
to music. Besides, I spent $1,200 for my setup.

Re: True duals Vs. Catback..

Can't remember if it was on this board or another, but someone else had true duals with LT headers custom run side-by-side without any clearance issues. They followed the original piping route and the pictures looked awesome! That will be my plan once I get the money to do it.

Here's the link to the post string where KLPPS had pictures of his run. Note his remarks a couple posts down after the pic links.
