The problem is that there's no dent for the cat in the floor on the passenger side cat/muffler, but with the car at stock ride height, its not a problem with ground clearance. When the car was dropped 1.8", the cat dragged on everything.
How do the Borla XR1 mufflers sound???

BTW I am going to sell my prototype Bassani exhaust, it is has been fabricated for an Lt1 with the Jet hot long tubes... It is a badass sounding kit, I got thumbs up for the sound all the time! It only has about 250miles on it, and it runs in the stock location and has an X pipe. PM me if you are interested...

Any pics of it? Is it a twin cat conv setup? Also, since mine is a convertible, there a little extra bracing I have to get around so it may not work.

Thanks for the pics zhevy, looks like a nice setup.

Not a whole lot different than an open exhaust.

Just so you know the BMR panhard rod relocation kit is to allow both pipes to go over the passenger side of the axle. I bought it with the same thoughts of one pipe over each axle but after installing and talking to BMR, its made to allow more room over the pass. side axle.

yep, both over the passenger side as the torque arm is in the way on the other side of the drive shaft tunnel.
I just found out that Lanes is right here by me, so I'm going by there sometime if they are still open..called and the line has been disco'd. They should be able to make a setup just like I want if they have the car.

The only problem with that setup is I'd have to do completely away with the extra bracing that's under the car because its convertible I think I have a plan mapped out. I do like those tiny cats though, I'll be needing something similar.
I've already ordered a torque arm kit that terminates the torque arm at the rear of the convertible tunnel brace, and allows me to keep the "X" bracing as well with a little influence with a hammer That will allow the driver side to crossover under the tail shaft easier. Also ordered the BMR modified panhard rod and adjustable rod since I'll be putting some 315's on the rear.
Hopefully get by Lanes Performance this week and they'll be able to make exactly what I want so I won't have do it myself since they are the professionals

Although I think Mike's true-dual set-up is probably the cleanest I've seen on a 4th-Gen bar none, remember that his car does not have long tubes. The pipe routing will vary with the long tubes depending on collector length.

Yes, and the fact that mine is convertible which has some extra bracing to get around. That's why I'm using the Spohn torque arm that connects to the rear of the tunnel brace instead of the tail shaft..that will free up some space to get the driver side pipe snaked thru the "X" bracing that connects the tunnel brace to the tranny brace on the convertible...putting the exhaust pipe right under the tail shaft...hopefully will get the cat in there before it crosses under.
