True dual exiting out before front of back tires
True dual exiting out before front of back tires
I have like many of us have been looking for the perfect exhaust. Also spending the least amout of money. My question to you all is what about the exhaust exiting in front of the rear tires? I was thinking long tube pacesetter, summit x-pipe, Dynomax bullets, and Dr. Gas oval pipes to eliminate loss of ground clearance. I'm not looking at the flowmaster in the rear like every other person. Also alot of people are doing the dual with bullets dumping in front of the axle. I like being different. I think it would look cool and sound loud as hell! Well just throwing this out for all of us to think about.
with the added cost of hte ovel pipe and hte oval bullets you could have had an over the axel setup.
I really dont see how thats different from many people the dump at the axels though, lots of people do it to save money, and use bullets to help quiet is a bit.
but with you going oval it would not be cheaper then over the axel.
I bet an oval X pipe will cost double a normal one, if its not custom.

What I am looking at is a 3" collector ovaling to 3". Then a oval x-pipe set-up then back to 3" circle for bullets then ovaling to 3" and out the sides. Here is a link that sort of explains....http://www.hutch-pagan.com/Boyce%20E...%20systems.htm
I'm trying to get a price on everything. I know Dr. Gas has 36", 3" oval pipe for $45.
Another idea is to just use the ovals when exiting the car on the sides.
I'm just posting for ideas and comments. Haven't seen this set up. Maybe I'll be the first!

what a waste, your going oval and then circle again then oval....
Why you want side pipes is beond me and I wont comment on that.
but with what you want to do, go round, then into bullets, then x pipe then into oval and out to the sides.
otherwise you dont have the room.
or save some money and skip the Xpipe if you have equal length LTs
or even get them ot make an X pipe by cutting the one wall from 2 45 degree bends and welding them together.

Ovaling at the exits look better, and give you slightly more ground clearance..
Here is a page on how we built a set for a friends 93, using 3" pipe and header insert style mufflers..
true 3" duals and Hooker LT's
And here is what it sounds like: (please "right click and save")
