Trip-o-meter dosent work

How hard is it to make my trip o meter work? id kinda like to know my gas milage and stuff like that. It hasnt worked scince i got my car, it reads the first 1/10th of a mile i think, or like the first 9/10ths of a mie... i want it to work!!!

Mines goes up to 1.9 and stops, some one said some thing thing once about a spring or clip breaking in the actual trip.

Broken tripmeters are apparently failry common on our cars.

maybe they tried to roll back the miles on it? and messed it all up

Had same problem one day it quit working, but mine is a 96 luckily it was covered under warranty. They just replaced the whole thing.

WOOHOO thank you .. ill do that... my miles dont match my title by 5000... probly rolled em back and broke my tripper in the process... some people.. OH WELL.. ill fix it when she comes outta storage, thanks for the link

My odo works fine, like I checked it on car fax, no indication of roll back.
