Trimming Header Gaskets

Hey, the car is going in the shop tommorow morning for the heads/ cam install.. I have jet hot long tubes with the O ports on them so i got some O port EARLS header gaskets... On the tops of the d ports on the heads where it is curved the gaskets are a little too small... I started to trim the gaskets a little bit then i got to thinking that it might just burn out. Any suggestions?

Why do your headers have LS-1 ports?

Re: Trimming Header Gaskets

How much will you need to trim them? I had to trim mine a little but not to the point I thought I'd have problems. If it looks like you will need to trim them too much, might want to get a set of "regular" header gaskets and trim those as needed instead. I like the Mr Gasket ones. Even have a picture trimming them
