The steel tab is about 1/4" offset... the twin pipes still stick through the holes in the plastic plate below it (guys with this CAI know what I'm talking about) but the tab won't drop in the slot properly. You have to really wrestle with it to get it to seat correctly.

If you look carefully in the pic you might notice the elbow is ever-so-slightly off center with the TB... it looks a lot worse in the pic than in real life though. I don't think it's interfering with flow. I might end up grinding a bit on the CAI or the elbow to loosen up the fit a little.

I had the Vortech polished elbow first and liked it a lot. However, it was much harder to install and scratches really easily. I also HATED the way the IAT sensor had to be installed. I had no way to put threads on the IAT so I ground it down so it would fit the hole, but then it just slipped in and out!
I ended up using part of the clamp to hold it in place. It looked fine, but always bothered me to know it was like that (call me picky, but that is just me ). I also did not like the brass fitting for the opti-vent line as it scratched the elbow a bit installing it.

I decided to sell the Vortech on eBay and buy the Trick Flow. I love it!!! Much easier to install and fit much better. Also is cooler to the touch after driving, like others have said already. It looks great and everything fit properly. I did buy a new IAT since I had ground the other one down, but it is well worth it for the fact I know the air flows smooth through it, it looks better, and it will NEVER tear or fall apart.

As a side note, the Vortech is a little heavier and the hose connections it comes with are thicker, but the Trick Flow is not flimsy by any means and is enginneered better, IMHO.

Hope that helps anyone looking to change their elbow!
