Guys I've been getting a variance in my trap speeds of 2mph in the 1/8 and over 3mph in the 1/4. I would chalk it up to traction, but I'm running drag radials and every launch is a let off the brake, floor it and go.

Example, last time at the 1/4, my car trapped a best of 103.69, and later on in the day it only trapped 100.0. Now, the relative humidity was the same, but the temperature went up 10*(ambient). I KNOW 10* temperature increase does not equate to me losing 3.7mph.

I was thinking maybe some of this is due to false knock? I don't have any way to scan it and see what's going on. Has anyone been able to fix a problem like this with an LT4 knock module?? Also does anyone have the part # for it??

It could be so many different things. False knock is possible though, definitely. Try the KM and see if it works, if it does, it was a nice cheap fix. You don't really have anything to lose except 30 bucks.

 

Looks like about $38 shipped from www.gmpartsdirect.com ...... I might try it out and see how it goes......

Get one from a Chevy dealer, min was like $34 and I didn't have to wait for it.

 

Nice!! I'll have to check on that tuesday when they open again. Are you happy with the knock module? Did it help out any?
