Transmission problem

About two weeks ago I was going home from work when a red Honda Civic cut someone off at a light to race me. We rolled to 10mph and then we both hit it. I put 4 car lengths on him until my car reved up to 6500(redline).

Ever since then, my car will drive fine and shift fine until I give it some gas. My car shifts until my rpm's hit 4000 to 4500, and then from there the car rev's up and the transmission doesn't even attempt to shift. Once I let off the gas it shifts.

I talked to alot of people and I got alot of sensless info. Some of the older guys that I trust, and I know they know what they are talking about told me it is the bands on the transmission. I had the transmisson fluid changed that week I found out about the transmission problem. The transmission fluid was never changed (85,000 miles).

I was wondering if some of you guys have or had the same problem or know about problems like this. I would like your info.

I have the same problem!!!!!!!!! Exact! same ! problem, I am going to get a new tranny from combination motorsports, that is one option, other than that it is time to find a tranny shop you can trust for the rebuild..... good luck you are going to need it! They are all crooked!!!!
I have been told it is the bands and the clutches in mine????
The new "bulitproof" tranny is like 1900.00 bucks This is going to hurt the wallet!!!
