Transmission finally kicked the bucket... Where to buy?

Welp, after riding around with no third or fourth gear for some time, my tranny finally totally died today. Where should I get a new rebuilt tranny from? I can put it in myself.. I am located in Charlotte, NC. I have a 6 Speed...

Thanks,

Marc

Cool

Depends on how much your budget is.

If you single handedly killed a T 56 then you are looking at some coin for a rebuild which will take your licking and keep on ticking.

Might want to look into a Richmond where you can set your gear combinations for $2,900 to $3,200 range with another $100 or more for shipping.

Good luck!

LOL - I am an 18 year old college student, with no money, and about $4,000 in repairs over the last 6 months on this car cuz of the person who had it before abusing it.... I want to spend as little as possible

They are in Durham, may be a bit of a drive, but he can hook you up with someone that can do a good rebuild on a T56 for a reasonable price. Call him and describe your problem to him.
