Mine was.It had the option of up to 3 washers on the one solenoid, and different springs on another step of the install..I did the high stall/race version and it is perfect with my 3K stall.

So either they are full of BS or they installed a different version of the transgo shift kit..They do have one called the JR shift kit..

The best adjustment for a TG shift kit is how fast you can throw it in the trash can! Congrats, you've just began the demise of your transmission...

LOL. Ok, here's the deal...I've been building automatic transmissions, professionally for 14 years. The fact is TG kits cause the 2-4 band and the 3-4 clutches to burn up prematurely. I've answered countless posts about TG kits. Do a search for "TG", or "shift kit". I'll refrain from suggesting that you use a search of "burnt up piece of transmission garbage"

The only other comment I'll make here is...If you have a "Professional" transmission shop put a TG kit in your transmission, they're not very professional! I can accomplish the same shift quality for $25 worth of parts. If you were a transmission shop owner, would you buy a TG kit, if you could do it BETTER for less? Unless...You didn't know how to make them shift correctly without a kit? This is what seperates a real TRANSMISSION BUILDER from a PARTS ASSEMBLER.

You know after you said that I got to thinkin, maybe my tranny builder is charging me for the TG kit but then just doing his own thing in their to help it shift better.
I will have to look into this.
His transmissions last so he has to be doing something different in there.
