Trans Am guys w/ K&N FIPK, where to mount headlight control module?

The hdlt. control unit is mounted originally on top of the small air intake tube (the short piece that connects to the air box and has the small opening that the engine gets air from originally)

That piece comes apart from the OE airbox and can be reinstalled in its original location so you have a place to attach your hdlt. control unit. The K&N tube will go right next to it through the plate that comes with the air intake.

That's how I did mine, holds the control unit just like factory.

i think i get what you are saying, but the air box thingy wont go back into place without taking the K&N air tube out, and I am NOT doing that, PITA the install was

The air box thingy needs to be in place before you bolt down the plate that the air intake tube goes through. The bolt that holds the plate will also hold the air box piece securely.

Thumbs up headlight module

the k&n kit comes with doulbe sided tape this is so that the module can be mounted below the relay box and still give you access if you have to unplug the unit. i have a 93 and that is
how the install showed it.
