Ok guys simple question.. is a trans am or formula, same year with a lt1, faster? and why?

 

I really don't think theres a difference.

Trans Am has a couple of body trim add ons, but the weight isn't enough to hinder performance in my mind.

 

formula's are lighter than T/A's, but not by enough to be faster...

Performance will be the same. The only diff maybe weight. I suggest getting the TA. They are much better looking and they usually have nicer interior. Although i do realize you can get a formula with nice interior. Hell i'm probably gonna end up swaping an entire TA interior into my car by the time i'm done.

 

Formulas are better

 

Formula 1: lighter 2:Looks like a V6, so it is a great sleeper. That is until you start running a big cam, long tube headers and a bullet race muffler with a turn down before the rear.

Formy, like others have said above, just a little lighter, and a helluva sleeper car.

 

I heard formula's had iron heads unlike the TA's and Z's aluminum heads. Is this true?

 

No our motors are identical to yours, Impala SS's and caprice's had Iron headed LT1's

 

No. Same power train.

 

Oh ok, I don't know where I heard that. I like the 'sleeper' appeal of the Formula too being that it is hard to tell the difference between it and a v-6. But prefer the TA for several other reasons.
