tranny shifts hard

Well I know im stupid but i did a 0-90 run just showing off my car to a friend and I heard a couple of thumps. Well now my car shifts real hard. Like throw me forward hard when it shifts. The fluid smells fine though.

Almost definately a tranny mount. Broke one of mine about two years ago, pretty cheap to fix though. About 60 Bucks at dealer.

I had the same porblem, it was the tranny mount. The car drove fine under normal conditions just so long as I didn't floor it. Try gunning it again and if it still happens, its a 90% chance the mount is broken.

are you running a third gen? my friend had his break on his third gen and it would be fine with normal driving but when he gave it 3/4 throttle or more it would bang like hell. while your talking about your tranny, i am sure you could change the fluid and filter also just to keep things fresh.

i read your sig after i posted, so i guess your third gen is sold. sorry about that. the poly mount should last. however, i hear they may make the tranny and such vibrate extremely bad. some people have problems and others don't. i have heard of problems with the energy suspension's poly tranny mount. do a search and you can probally find more info on that. the hard shifts are probally due to a broken mount though. good luck
