Tranny Question (vettes)

The 6 speed vettes had what tranny? In the LT1 and LS1 cars? Tremec? Borg Warner? ZF?

To further clarify, TREMEC is part owned by Dana, and in 1997, TREMEC aquired the Borg-Warner tranny business.

The "T56" in the C5 is quite a bit different physically than the one used in the F-Body and Viper, being mounted in the rear, butted against the differerential. I believe there is also a heavy duty version used in the Z06's that is referred to as the T12?????
