tranny problem, anyone know if I need a rebuild?

I have lost second gear. This happened after I changed the fluid, everything was fine for about a week and then second gear just went away. I have a Transgo shift kit installed in the tranny and it worked fine for 50k then I changed the fluid and this happened. A performance rebuild is rather expensive and was just wondering if any of you guys might have expierenced this kind of thing. First, third, and fourth gears are fine and it will shift into second it just won,t pull
Any suggestions?

check the fluid level? did you change the filter? make sure its seated properly? if all of those check out, probably time for a rebuild.

I have been back into it 3 times to check all of that. What I fear is that maybe a solenoid went bad and that would be all I have to change but maybe not.

Exclamation Try the trans-X fluid......

I have had friends try the Trans X fluid (miracle fluid) and the trans works. Don't ask how, but I have seen it first hand. It is supposed to release stuck valves and the sort----It only costs about 5-7 dollars, might help. Also, the last time you checked the trans, did the fluid show any signs of metal shavings, if it did, then you might need to find a swap or rebuilt it----this gets expensive and is a pain. Hope I helped.
