Tranny Prob in a 67' w/ LT1

Well I took a motor and 6 speed tranny out of a 96 camaro with around 60k miles on them, and had a mechanic install it in my motorless 67 camaro. In the morning time everything runs good, but once everything warms up, it seems like the clutch is still somewhat engaged when I get on it, I can give it about 25% throttle untill it starts to 'slip?' and my mechanic seems stumped. It seems like its not getting enough hydrolic pressure or something. Any ideas for me?

thanks in advance.
