Tranny mount question

my stock transmission mount broke the other day so i replaced it with some autozone "high performance" generic gm mount because i didn't feel like waiting on the mount to come in through gm........

so i put the new one on and i noticed the rubber piece has alot less give to it than my old one did....

this makes my car seem to ride rougher because every bump i hit the shifter and console bumps and rattles...

this is because of the new mount right? or could i have it too tight?

any suggestions will be great !!!

thanks

There is no way that any bolt tightness can affect it. It is just a firmer mount. Maybe it is polyurethane?

You might want to check the hight of your new mount, it may have to tranny alittle higher then normal.

Also, it is going to ride rougher because it is harder (more high performance)
