today i was driving around my neighborhood when my tranny acted up like crazy. when it would shift under decent throttle the whole car felt like it got hit by another car. it was so harsh. but it felt like it was shifting ok...sure scared me though...any clues what this could of been?

 

It sounds like for some reason the PCM is boosting the line pressure. Do you have a shift kit? If you have a laptop or know someone who does with a OBDI cable and Freescan hook it up and see if it shows any codes. The most common is 1870( converter lockup problem.) Do you have a stall and does the car lockup? Like I said it sounds like the PCM is boosting line pressure for some reason. Good luck.

No my car is all stock...i got like 2-3 weeks ago and being a teenager im already low on money and saving up for a whole new rack and pinon, tie rods, fix an oil leak and new rotors and pads all around. and all i need now is tranny problems!!

 

If it is stock they I would have to say yes you have a tranny problem. You need to get it checked before if fries the tranny. I twisted a Tranny output shaft for the same reason. My tranny shifted so hard that the whole car vibrated and jerked my neck. Hense busted trans. A stock rebuild will cost you over 1000 dollars if you dont break anything before hand. So get if checked out before it breaks and costs you alot of money.
