Tranny Cooler
Tranny Cooler
Iv looked through alot of the posts on the Tranny cooler install and at a bunch of install guieds but im still a little lost and getting contradicting line locations. Am i correct in stating that when planning to use the stock cooler and an aftermarket cooler that i only need to disconnect the returning line to the transmission and run the hose from that to the new cooler then run the second line from the new cooler to the factory line back tot he transmission. Any help would be apprciated thanks.
It really is that simple, I did mine pretty much like all the write ups, but I took out my radiator since I was told not to run the clips through the radiator, and also since I might need to pull the radiator some time, thi sjust made more sense for me.
Thanks
I appriciate all the help guys, and iv got pictures the only thing is alot of them contradict each other. Im gonna crawl under the car and take a look at this today. If you want to send some pics by all means do. Ill see if they dont clear thigns up
the main important thing to look at is:
1. you have to find the line that goes from tranny TO the radiator
2. you have to find the line that goes FROM the radiator to tranny
3. disconnect both lines
4. connect line no.1 to the tranny cooler, and the no.2 line to the tranny cooler.
5. have a smoke or a beer, cause you are done
hope that helps.
so it works like this
tranny fluid -->radiator -->tranny cooler --> back to tranny
1. you have to find the line that goes from tranny TO the radiator
2. you have to find the line that goes FROM the radiator to tranny
3. disconnect both lines
4. connect line no.1 to the tranny cooler, and the no.2 line to the tranny cooler.
5. have a smoke or a beer, cause you are done
hope that helps.
so it works like this
tranny fluid -->radiator -->tranny cooler --> back to tranny
