hey guys i was driving today when my car shifted out of first around 10 or so mph into 2nd and grinded and then just wouldnt go in...now it clunks and what not if it tries to go in 2nd...first gear and reverse work though...im in high school and have like no spare cash...im guessing my tranny needs to rebuilt?

Tough question, were you in drive or overdrive (3rd/4th) when this happened? the rpms just go up but no gears?
Might be a throttle postion sensor (TPS) which is mounted on the throttle body, pass side, about a $50 fix.
Might start there. Is the SES light on? if so, try auto zone to have the code checked.
