Tranmission &TPS question
Tranmission &TPS question
While in drive my A4 shifts 1-2 @6000 and 2-3 @ 6000 but this all happens before half track...is that normal. Seems like third gear is surging a bit. Still goes through the traps at around 6000 though. BTW 4.10's in the rear
Second, can't get my TC to hook up......while foot braking, still creeps a lot with a 3000 stall...is the stall not working....i thought the higher the stall the more i could get up the RPM's and leave harder. Now-Very soft leave with no spin....does that seem right?
What computer programing is neccessary after a trans & motor re-build
What is TPS- throttle postion sensor?

Re: Tranmission &TPS question
I had a Level 10 converter and tell you what it was JUNK it was a 2600 stall and drove worse and built more heat than my current 2800 Edge, the Edge is far supirior in ever aspect from launch to drivability. The Level 10 was just mushy and weak as well as building a lot of heat
You have to get the pcm reprogrammed for half the mods you have done even if it was just one of them much less a bunch together, I guarantee at this point just having someone like pcmforless.com reprogram that thing will make a HUGE difference you will kick yourself for not doing it sooner. Bryan of pcmforless is right down near Philly should you want to go as far a a dyno tune. TPS is the Throttle position sensor.

Re: Tranmission &TPS question
Really......i already smell a burnt scent on the dip stick of the trans after a couple of runs is that because of the over heating and can it be corrected. BTW the trans has like 1500 miles on it.
Also i know the name of the TPS but what does it do and when does it need to be adjusted if at all.
