Traction Mods that dont hurt handling???

I want some traction, but i dont want to be driving out on skinnies and slicks-
I'd like to be able to take the turns faster than the minivan behind me-

LCA, TQ arms, relocation brackets ect-
how do they effect you on the twisties?
SFC?
thanks

sfc and lca are deffinatly gonna help. seems i read some thing about the brackets not being advantageous to cornering (could be wrong), but i doubt it would make a huge difference in the twisties that it would overshadow the advantage at the drag strip.

i kknow i felt a significant increase in traction with my lca and a poly torque arm bushing, no wheel hop.

the torque arm should benefit you in both straight line and cornering.

have yo thought about adjustable shocks like the Hal/QA1's that you could tighten up for the street and loosen for track day?

Strut braces help a lot for cornering. You might want to think about that.

yea but they hurt launch-
i think i'm going to get SFC, LCA, adjustable shocks, and nittos

That should be a safe compromise
I dont know what to do about springs though...
I love lowered look/handling
but the 60' loss is going to counter my whole purpose
plus its no fun driving it

hopefully i can drop anohter 50-75 lbs too

If you decide to go with SFC then I would highly recommed going with BMR's. I am currently running the Diamond Style SLP's which IMHO are a better design but very heavy.

just curious. i sold mine anyway because i didn't think that it really made that much of a difference anyhow and like you i figured it would be a little less weight. i don't take turns at 100mph anyway so i didn't really matter.

Most strut tower braces weigh barely anything to begin. I don't see how you can say it would affect weight transfer in a way that could really affect launch. A STB might change the the weight distribution of a car by maybe a few hundredths of a percentage point, unless you go for something like one of those 4-point Edelbrock braces that tie into the firewall. Also, a STB doesn't work exactly the same way as a front sway bar. The sway bar prevents the body from rolling due to engine torque, hence affecting weight transfer to the rear of the car. The STB only prevents the front subframe from flexing when the front wheels are heavily loaded, as in an auto-x or road racing situation.
