Traction

Hey guys just put on the nittos and was noticing that the traction improvement while launching at 30 psi cold was not as great as I had expected but there was an improvement, atleast I can floor it anywhere in first and not put the tires in a haze now. Do I have to deflate them and do burnouts to really get the full effect... I dont want to do them nor could I everytime I wanted to race.

You need to do a burnout to get the full advantage. They arent much, if any better than a normal tire when cold. After you do a burnout, they grab a lot better.

well their real "race" use is meant for the track.. you deflate them to the low 20's psi, heat them up with a decent burnout.. then race.

Don't got too low on the psi, you wanna start around 24-25 and work your way down. I always say that when doing a burnout once you see smoke, continue for no more that 2 seconds longer, and you should be fine,

Thanks guys, well how many miles did you get out of them with the burnouts? I figure the way I planned on driving, not many burnouts if any, they would last 10k miles, but then there is almost no point in having them.
