Well i just got back from the track for the first time. And before you all roll on the ground laughing lemme tell you that i was at 3500ft, and my car is only shifting at 6200 because i have the stock spark plug wires and im arching over at higher rpms(i think) and it doesn't pull much past 5500 but i dont think there is valve float. Im also on the stock stall and terrible khumo street tires. I also wasn't allowed to run on the normal part of the track, i had to go off on the side so i wouldn't mess it up or something. well heres some of my runs. Also it was my first time at the track.
spun thru first and shifting into second on every run.

Well it's obvious that i need to get my 60' down...but i just couldnt i usually just left off of idle too.

O well i guess ill go back when i get some tires and new plug wires and shift it a little higher.

Your 60s are killing you.

You could run a medium to low 13 if you got a decent 60'.

 

I think that there is a problem with the car too because the 60' on my 3rd run is better than my second run, but the car trapped 3 mph slower and was about .4 slower. It seems like it misses sometimes but not others.

 

I think you need more practice and tires. With the mods in your sig you should be atleast mid 12's to low 12's. I have a smaller cam, stock heads, full exhaust w/shorties, 3.42 gears and E/T streets running best time of 12.8, but consistent 13-13.1 times.

 

Judging by your mph you should be running 13.1-13.3.
