It's only going to get worse. Scared to see what the new setup will run?

untuned? I know before I got my car tuned it ran like complete crap... barely idled at lights and when it did, it was very very rough. Id say a 14.0 AT BEST... most likely a low 14, especially since he doesnt have exhaust. BTW... why even put your car through that torture of dragging it w/o a tune? That cant be good...

I don't know why people always say untuned cars run like crap. When my car was first finished and the trans wasn't so bad, untuned, I would pull stay dead even with my buddies 113mph LT1 car.

A high 13 sec pass with a m6 and good conditions is doable, if the car runs mid 14's the car needs a tuneup or the driver mod, i know this firsthand, my car was runing low 15's stock, turns out that was on 7 cylinders since a plug wire was almost cut in half by the belt, then when i did the cam one of the intake lobes was almost nonexistant, so that was on like 6 cylinders, haha.

U may think my car is crazy but I really didnt notice THAT much of a differance after I got my car tuned. It did idle a bit smoother and gained a little power but it wasnt as much as u would think. I ran 8.28 in the 1/8 which is around 12.9's in the 1/4 without my car even being tuned yet. The fastest 1/8th mile time I have ever run with my cam was when it was UNTUNED. I had mid-length headers and a crappy 2600 stall that i got off ebay. So its possible without headers u could get 13.3-13.4 but thats if its almost a perfect run. Good luck with whatever u decide.

My quess, high 13s. Don't drop your tire pressure at the track. Just spin them a couple of rotations to clean them off. No big or small burnouts.

I know this thread is a bit old, but I am doing research and I am shocked by what I am hearing...

Basically you guys are saying this car would be a high 13's Camaro with a hotcam?

I had CIA, madZ28 tune, exhaust, 3.73's and was running 13.6's @ 103 or so with 2.01 60's... If our track was prepped good I felt 13.4's coming... I think some of these times quoted are a bit pessimistic. So much so that I don't even want the Hotcam kit my buddy has anymore.

Does the tune make up for all that lost time? Just curious.
