track times

Before i got my torque converter i was trapping at 100.07

Now with the 2800 stall my new time is:

60' - 1.89
1/8 - 8.745
1/4 - 13.645 @ 99.77

My mods for the run were Moroso CAI, MAC midlength headers, flowmaster cat back, GMAF, transgo shift kit, trans cooler, nitto drag radials, and lakewood lower control arms. I thought that with the converter that i would trap lower, but after reading other posts about times, I think that it is too low.

What does everybody think? When i trapped at 100.07, all the mods were the same but the torque converter.

went from a 13.89 @ 100.07 to a 13.645 @99.77

Not a big jump, but only got one run in before it rained and made us leave...im sure i could have hit 13.5

sorry but my curiousity has the best of me. I was thinking about a stall, but hadn't heard any actual times and traps before and after installing one. Which one did you go with? TCI?

yeah 2800 is not crazy, very driveable...when you get into 4400 stalls is when driveability on the street gets a little different.

So anyway...back to the question...any insight?

eh, 2800 isnt that wild of a stall, you'll notice a difference, hopefully in the 60' times, but it wont be terribly drastic. i know guys who went to like 3500 stalls that picked up 5 and 6 tenths and a 7-8 mph with just the stall. every car is different.

IF you nowticed in a recent post of mine I just ran a set of runs all in the 13.6's @ 100.xx. So your trap speed is just as mine. I don't have a stall though. MY 60ft times are 1.9's. I to thought my trap was a bit low.

I have the vig 2800 and took it to the track for the first time last weekend. my best run was 13.40 @ 100.3mph with a 1.85 60 ft. Last year with stock t/c my best was 13.85 @ 98. I guess I would have thought a lower 13 would of been had by you too.
