Tr55 Gap

Tr55Gp platnium

Okay I gapped the plugs to 0.044 from the 0.050 and the car runs alot better. All engine data in signature. But what do most ppl put these plugs too if they dont have a igntion box but at most just a msd opti and plug wires and blaster coil. I dont wanna gap them all at this and find out maybe 0,040 would be better or whatever amount of gap. All I know so far smaller worked better. Would smaller gain any more?

Thanks

I used to gap my plugs at .050, but my tuner asked me to try .035 to .040. They are right between, at around .037, and it runs a lot smoother.

As a general rule, as compression increases you should lower the gap, and as ignition power increases you can bring it back up. My tuner says most N/A LT1s regardless of mods prefer the lower .035-.040 settings though.

I'll have to keep this in mind. If I keep moving my car around the yard she's gonna need some plugs
