TPIS LT y-pipe

I installed the LT1 LT headers from TPIS, good header, great ground clearance but I went to install the y-pipe and it was off by about 3/4" from collector to collector. I called them and they told me to loosen the headers and install the y-pipe and then re-tighten the headers. I just don't like the idea of tweaking the headers to get the y-pipe on, will this cause any problems? Has anyone else run into the same problem with these headers? Before I go ahead and loosen up the headers and try their route I would like to get some feedback.

Also, does anyone know of a good exhaust shop in MN? Just in case I end up not installing TPIS y-pipe.

Thanks.
