LS7 lifters are perfectly reliable (hence they are used in the ls7 engine) and they are the only part that can be used in an lt1 and ls1 engine. Plus they are pretty cheap, $140 for a set at summit i think?

Yeah i bought them after reading a lot in this forum. I figured why risk using lifters with 65k on them when I am replacing everything else while doing the cam. GM supposedly no longer makes LT1 or LS1 lifters, so the LS7 is the only option from GM. They are cheap and a close to direct fit. There is no performance gain, but I don't want to tear everything off and have an old lifter fail and fudge up everything.
