I suggest a torco converter.
about $300.
www.torco.com
there are tons of 8 9 and 10 sec guys out thererunning them
stock bottom end, yank and b&m are fine.
i've heard of everything busting by vigi and torco.
I actually know someone who blew their yank in 20 min (it was a 700hp car)

So if I go 2400 where should I look for it at? Vigi, yank, midwest, torco? Also how is my gas mileage gonna be affected? Driving on interstates/highways?

I have never heard of anybody BUSTING a Vigilante...that is crazy, unless they are running an unbelievable stall with a stock tranny or something else not high performance. Anyway, like I said earlier, you can find them on this board for like 500 used. New they are 699 from speedinc.com. If you buy used, dont pay more than 500, anything more, you are better off buying brand new.

Don't waste your time and money on a 2400 stall. Get a Vigilante or Yank. You won't be sorry!

So how exactly does a lock up work? Is it if you acceerate lightly you wont have the stall but if you accelerate hard you gotta get to the stall?
