You are making a pretty big and poor assumption in thinking the Edelbrock parts are any good. The Trickflows would result in a compression drop which is the wrong way to go.

Buying the HOT cam "kit with either would be silly since it would include weaker springs than either head is supplied with, and the rockers wont allow you to use a real cam when you realize what a mistake the HOT cam was.

I know it is not what you want to hear, and I also know I offend folks easily but fact of the matter is every idea you put forth is a bad one.

The Edelbrock full package is rated less at the flwheel than a good heads and cam setup based on ported stock heads will give you at the tires.

www.advancedinduction.com is my choice they offer more power and better reliability that other alternatives at barely any more cost. The times in my sig are with an obsolete package from them.

On a M6 stock shortblock Camaro I know they have delivered as much as 429rwhp the Edelbrock full kit is rated at only 396 at the flywheel, big difference there.

Yes. Take what you have and send it to AI to have them port and polish and they will sell you a cam to match. That way everything works together.

Although, there is no guarantee that your bottom end will hold up with the increased power.

Yea, these guys are 100% right....The edelbrock intake yields ZERO power advantage over the stock LT1 intake......and your much better off retaining your stock LT1 heads and having them done by either advanced induction or Lloyd Elliott.......The stock trickflow heads, the stock Edelbrock heads, and the stock LT4 heads will ALL leave you well under (power wise) what a AI or LE package will give you (quite a bit cheaper as well)................Joe
