top end rebuild or supercharger?

k, i'm sure this has been brought up before but i didnt know what to look for exactly under searches. so any advice would be appreciated. i'm contemplating within the year of either going with a top end rebuild or with a supercharger. i'm leaning more toward the naturally aspirated custom head/intake/cam kit. but just wanted to hear the opinions and about the pros and cons of both options. i will possibly go through http://www.advancedinduction.com/AiProductsLT1.html
for the head/intake/cam kit. more than likely the Econo-port setup with a custom cam, hardened pushrods, rollers and rockers (the Standard High-Performance Hydraulic Roller Kit) and a custom pcm and dyno tune. now with both of these setups i will be getting long tube headers and 4.10 gears. the engine block was replaced and rebuilt about 2 yrs/40k miles ago. are there any other options i should consider when doing either of these things? thanks.

I'd go with H/C/I. If anything it will cost you a lot less. With the blower, you're looking at rebuilding the bottom end too so your engine will last at a power level that would make FI worth doing.

Re: top end rebuild or supercharger?

the Lt1 is too high compression for SC, so if you do go that route you will be rebuilding the bottom end in no time as stated above. You can probably make the same amount of power for the same price as a supercharger by rebuilding the top and bottom end. With heads, whole top end rebuild, and a cheap forged rebuild like the one from summit, you can have alot more reliable car pushing out the same hp as the supercharger.
