pushing header in a bit for clearance(best way to do it)

ok i got a passenger side hooker header clearance issue with the front suspension. the collector has a really really small gap from the suspesion piece. I can hear it hitting since the motor will rock that way and the cam throwing the motor around a little bit. Im looking to push that spot in just a touch to give me the clearance i need. i want to be as ginger as possible in doing this. my thought was to take a small torch to the area and bend it as gently as i can. My exhaust shop said they would do it but didnt wanna make the metal brittle. any suggestions
