top end or bottom end ???

This may sound stupid, but I was wondering .... When my lil brother first got the T/A , it would lite up the tires from a stop when you stomped on it. He tore out the trans twice in it, and then I took it over. When I got it, I had to put a new cat(3" hi-flo) on it and my friend rebuilt the trans for me. I also put a new cap, rotor, plugs & extreme 9000's on it. But when you stomp on it now, it's like it has no power. I haven't checked the fuel pressure yet. But will next week when I get home. So, what I'm getting at is.... What wears out on an engine that causes loss of power. Would it be in the valve train, bottom end, what ??? It's got about 128k on it now, had 113k on it when I got it, 99%highway miles since I got it.

Are you getting any codes? A routine tune up would help, you already covered the plugs and wires. Your car maybe a candidate for some seafoam.

No Codes except for A/C, which my moron brother cut out the condenser. But it doesn't throw a lite. What is seafoam ??? I'm supposed to build my IROC motor this spring, but that LT-4 conversion kit is lookin' pretty good ! Nah, I gotta get my Camaro running good first. Any help would be appreciated.

Search for seafoam... Run it through your motor and TB and see if it helps.

Thanx, I found the post. I've used the Deep Creep before at work on a Neon, and it made the SES lite come on a couple times. What other kinds of stuff do they make ? Honestly, I don't see it making that much of a difference. I'll try it though. Any other ideas ???
