Took the LT1 for a lil drive....

I came home from skool for thanksgiving break and i decieded to throw on the street tires and take the LT1 for a small backroad ride... and wow i totally forgot how powerful this thing is... with cold 18inch wheels on i spun the tires at 25mph roll... i never remember it being that powerful.... but it was awesome!

cnt wait until the spring! January i plan on having the tranny shipped out to CPT for a pro race rebuild and when i have it reinstalled have them throw in a 3600 vig, a tranny cooler, and a tranny temp gauge... the new goal is 12's by the end of next season on bolt on's and stock gears

I lost traction today stomping on it at 35 but i know that wouldn't happen on dry summer days. It was cool, but with the cold temperature and even though the roads are dry there is some moisture there along with other residue. I have a hard time getting good traction anywhere until spring.

Lol, then you should know this is not a post for the LT1 engine forum. I'm sure your car has some power, but cold tires are not hard to break loose.

If that is true, next time I'm headed east out of Oklahoma, I'm definitely not going through Arkansas on I-40 again!
